2011 03 12 019.JPG - As soon as we dropped our anchor near a village (and sometimes before we had even finished anchoring!), the Kuna women would paddle out with their dugout "ulu" loaded down with mola panels for sale. The ladies were quiet and shy, but persistent. Most were very polite though, and if you said "no molas, gracias", they would leave graciously. Sometimes we could have at least a dozen different ladies come by in one day!Usually they would stay in their canoe and hand mola after mola up for us to look at, but it was so hot out in the sun, and we talked this family into coming up for some shade. (They seemed a little uncomfortable though!).
